The feminine figures incorporate the multicoloured
In the work Color of Dew by Lita Cabellut, the feminine figures incorporate the multicoloured and evanescent bouquets of flowers into her lap as if it were a still life. The gestural rictus of the brushstrokes extends that flowery field and the warm lust of its colour to the bottoms and opposes the fragility of the tempus fugit. The idea of transit is perceived, as in the old vanitas, as a beauty bathed in the melancholic verism of their facial features. A beauty which aspires to be an allegory of the eternal, exalting the effects of sublimity, pleasure and pain.
